This is my first blog, and it's on: how to get kissable lips*.
Many people would love to have the Angelina Jolie pillow like lips, but it isnt all down to applying your make up correctly, it is also down to the condition of your lips. If your lips themselves are unhealthy then that can have a big effect on how your lips appear.
If your lips are dry it could be that you are not hydrating them enough, so drink more water, and moisturise them just as you would your face. A good lip balm is also recommended daily, when you wake up and before you go to bed. Also when chosing a lip balm dont opt for anything too greasy as it will be harder for your skin to absorb.
Even if you do drink plenty of water and apply lip balm regularly, your lip are in need of a bit of attention every now and then.
And here's how:
You will need (for scrub):
Over time the skin on your lips can become flakey and is in need of being sorted out. DO NOT PICK AT IT! There are ways in which to sort it out, but I found, in my experience, that this homemade exfoliator works best.
Get your flannel and dip it into warm water, squeeze out the exess and rub over your lips. Then pour the teaspoon of sugar into the small container, then add the 2 tablespoons of honey. After that add a small amount of Vaseline and mix with the spoon (Or whatever you are using instead of one) until it reaches a gritty texture. Once this is achieved dip the end of your finger in the mixture and apply to your lips like lipbalm. Rub it into your lips, making the sugar remove the dry skin. (Iit does actually taste pretty good, but i wouldnt reccomend eating it. lol)
Wipe off the scrub with the flannel and you should be able to feel how soft your lips are. It is best to apply lip balm after using the scrub to hydrate your lips.
Kissable looking lips:
Apply lip balm to hydrate once more and apply a matte lipstick. (You can also use a lipliner that matches your lipstick) A matte lipstick is best as it looks natural and if you are about to kiss someone a lipstick that is too glossy will come off on the other persons face. Remember to blot your lipstick to reduce the amount of colour that would have ended up on the other persons face; and to make your lips look both natural and to make the colour a little less likely to bleed.
After doing those steps you should have Kissable lips!*
The great thing about this is, that you can only do the scrub and apply the lip balm and it still look great!
Good Luck People!
