Fairy Kei Fashion (Photos and Short Description) + Shops

A more sweet lolita, decora blend, with a hint of 80's. It uses mostly bright pastel colors (like lavender, baby blue, light pink, mint green, pale yellow, etc.), and elements and accessories from Western toy lines of the 1980s, such as My Little PonyStrawberry ShortcakeRainbow BritePopplesand Care Bears. The style originated from Sauri Tabuchi, the eminent Tokyo fashion figure's store Spank! Unlike pastel goth they do not incorporate any 'creepy' element into their wardrobe. Here are som pictures of the style as it exists today:

What shops can you buy Fairy Kei from?

There are quite a few brand shops, although they tend to not ship worldwide. Here’s a list of what shops there are and where they ship!

Maniaq Sells pastel t-shirts and adorable multi-colour pannier skirts.

Nile Perch

Chocomint on Rakuten A cute, fluffy accesory shop, perfect for Fairy Kei and Lolita.

Refusal to be Usual - Slightly expensive, but they have some cute things.

Lolita brands such as Angelic Pretty and Baby, The Stars Shine Bright  (The socks and skirts they do could be really cute, even if it is really expensive.)

Bodyline - Yes, I know they have a bad reputation for being cheap and not very good quality, but I own some of their Panniers and for $ 14.14 (£9) each, they’re perfect for fairy kei and layering!

TruffleShuffle - UK based, but I got a really cute retro bag from there for school, so it’s pretty good!

DreamV - Gal brand, but has some items suitable for fairy kei styles. Also extremely cheap!

Mintymix - Perfect for cute accessories and wigs.

Cute Can Kill - Sells adorable Lolita and Fairy Kei accessories!

Mahou Kei - Vintage finds and Fairy Kei accessories!

Eyecandy - Creepy cute Kyary Pamyu Pamyu style hair bows and bracelets.

Little Mizz Kitty An extremely cute chocomint style shop based in the UK.

Kawaii Cute Co Has cute accesories and decoden phone cases!

Holley Tea Time Has some amazing tights and leggings with the most adorable designs on them, as well as kawaii accesories.

Shops that only ship to Japan (Use an SS)

Spank! - Where Fairy Kei was invented!

6%DokiDoki - Cute “Kawaii Revolution” brand, that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has a liking for!

Galaxxxy - 80’s/retro style fashion, perfect for some old school outfits!

Swimmer - Has some adorable household items as well as accessories like DS cases.

Milk - Very expensive, but makes up for it by being very very cute!
