How to have a great night’s sleep to improve your complexion
If you enjoy looking good at all times – and let’s face it, who doesn’t – then you will always want to ensure that your complexion looks great. With this in mind, you might use a silisponge uk made or oval brushes to apply your makeup, however makeup isn’t the whole story. If you don’t have a smooth and glowing complexion to put your makeup on top of, then you will almost certainly never be able to get the skin that you have dreamed of, meaning that you could be disappointed with your makeup results. However, one thing that can really help is getting enough sleep, as it means that you will wake up feeling fresh – so if this is something that you currently struggle with, read on to find out how you can improve your sleeping habits.Establish a regular routineOur bodies are like machines, and they like to make sure that everything is done at the same time each day – including eating, drinking and sleeping. Sleeping is very much in your control, so you should aim to go to bed at the same time each night when you can, and also set an alarm for the same time each morning. Although you may wish to have a lie in when you don’t have to get up for work, you should try to make sure that this isn’t hugely different to the time that you would usually wake up.
Don’t use screens before bedtime
Most of us have got into bad habits of taking smartphones to bed, and this is bad for two reasons. Firstly, it can distract you from going to sleep, meaning that you will browse social media for several hours before putting your phone down and going to bed. Secondly, if you are looking at a screen, the light from it can disrupt the production of melatonin in your body, and this could keep you awake. Not only this, but it also means that your sleep could be disrupted when you do eventually manage to drop off.
Don’t eat or drink right before bedtime
Every time you eat or drink anything, you will experience a slight lift in blood sugar, and this in turn can increase heartrate and make it more difficult for us to get to sleep. For this reason, you should avoid eating anything for at least two hours before you go to bed. This helps for another reason, too. If you eat a heavy meal then you may be far too uncomfortable to sleep, whereas if you drink fluids just before bed you might have to disrupt your sleep to use the bathroom, which can have an effect on the overall quality of your sleep.Sleep is useful for many reasons, but when you consider just how much of an effect it can have on your skin, this shows that it is more than worth trying to improve your sleep regime if you can. You are sure to notice the difference, and you will feel awake and alert, too.
