Well after feeling sick since the beginning of the week (this is why I don't start things on Mondays!!) I have been really having to push myself. I've had this disgusting cough and a stuffy and runny nose. I am happy that I can say I finished my first week and that I pushed PUSHed and PUSHED myself! I really had to dig deep today because I was extremely sore from Ice Skating earlier with my niece.
I actually surprised myself with this one. I made it through fairly easily until right before the basketball drills. Then of course those darn drills killed me! I am proud of myself because I did do a good deal of the push ups before I had to just hold plank position for the duration.
I'm excited to see how next week will go!
Tomorrow is a day of rest, which I already stated that I will be going for an hour walk/jog to make sure I don't slack at all.
Once you become serious about working out you just have to go for it. Even if people make fun of you, you crave junk, or you just don't want to do it anymore, that's when you push yourself more. You don't give up because your health is important and no one can get healthy for you! You have to take care of your body and help yourself to sustain an enjoyable life. Best way to keep going is to do blogs. Make yourself accountable! I don't want to have to write that I gave up on my workouts, so I started writing about them to insure that I wouldn't dare give up.
Why did I start back: Unhappiness: With my body, my life, and there's a lot of anger. The one thing I found that always makes me feel better is working out. Running track, volleyball, and then eventually figure skating were/ still are the activities that keep me sane. I always tell people I don't like to sweat, but right now this sweat has been the best feeling ever. I know I'm going somewhere.....to a slimmer, and more healthy me.
