1. Get a good night's sleep

Getting poor quality, or suffering from a lack of sleep can really make even simple tasks difficult, let alone motivating yourself for some strenuous activity.Along with making sure you get enough sleep, it's also important that you get good quality sleep and get out of bed with a burst. Rolling over for more sleep could actually be counter-beneficial. Make sure you get up raring to go, and you should be more motivated to get out and keep fit.

2. Pick the right playlist

If you get bored easily, take some music with you. But also pick the right music. You might like slow-jams, but they aren't always motivational for keeping you active. Pick something upbeat that gets you in the mood.

3. Go with friends

Keeping fit can be lonely, and it's much easier when you go with a friend. Some friendly competition can be healthy, but even some simple conversation can help take your mind off the burn.

4. Vary your activity

If you like running, try varying your route regularly. There's no point getting bored doing the same thing again and again, and some variation can help keep things fresh.

5 Track goals and keep targets
