Okay, I know it's pretty late (1:02 A.M where I am), but I wanted to post this blog before I go to bed (:
So this blog is pretty much some steps you can take to get a tan faster, while being safe at the same time.
Okay, so the first thing is water. You guys, I really don't know how much I have to stress this, but drinking water is one of the most healthiest things you can do for yourself. Drinking some water will help you obsorb that sun alot better. So make an effort to drink at least a few glasses of water an hour before you go out.
Secondly (this is the crucial part of it all...without this the tanning process is not going to be as fast)...okay so you need an accelerator. Not just some random ass tanning lotion. I'm talking a dark accelerator (see picture). You will speed up your tan so much by using this. I mean going out with stuff on (plus your sunscreen) you will see a major difference!!!
Thirdly, sunscreen. Now this isn't part of the tanning process, but it's the safe part. You can layer this over your accelerator and you'll still get a tan. I recommend the first time you go tanning out in the sun just use the accelerator (I'd say sit out for about 30 minutes). Then every other time you use the accelerator layer sunscreen over it.
Next, would be exfoliate. When you go back inside I'm sure your going to be very eager to take a shower, just to get all the sweat and grime off. So, instead of using your regular old body wash, use a body scrub. Not only will this exfoliate all the dead skin off...it will give you a nice glow (because your increasing the blood circulation when you massage the body scrub into your skin)..This, infact will bring out your tan even more. (Use a seperate exfoliator specifically made for your face, for your face, such as the St. Ives Apricot Scrub).
Note: I have used the body scrub in the pic and it is amazing..I found it at Wal-mart for around 6.00
Bonus: You can make your own body scrub with sugar and honey.
Umm...okay we're almost done here. The last thing you want to do when you get out of the shower is moisturize with body lotion (and for your face, moisturizer). This will lock in that gorgeous tan you got and keep your skin soft. Now, as soon as you step out of the shower pat yourself off (don't completely dry your body...you still want it to be slighly damp) and apply the lotion. When your body is still damp, the lotion will absorb better and lock the mositurizer into your skin.
Note: Again...I have used the lotion in the pic...it's amazing. A big-ass bottle of it is like 3.00 at Wal-mart.
Okay, so that's it..After doing this a few times you'll have a nice dark tan.
Some things to enhance that gorgeous tan::
Bronzer (cheeks, nose, temples)
Self-tanner (you can put this on a few times for an even darker tan)
If you put some high-lighting powder in the right places (cheeks, temples, collar bone and just right above the clevage area..maybe a little bit on your arms too) this can give you an amazing glow...
Okay, so that's it. It is now 1:30 A.M and I am tired as hell and about to go to bed. Excuse my spelling, because again...I'm tired as hell. I promise I'm not an idiot ;D Anyways, just remember Sunblock is very important, because it can save you from pre-maturing wrinkles and skin cancer. So stay sun-safe and enjoy your new tan. Okay, I'm going to bed, because I'm about to pass out from exhaustion. Night!!!!
