Effects of Using earphones or Headphones

If you loved having earphones or headphones on your ears, then the reason could be, “you want the music to be real inside you”, as if you are the only people in the world listening with your own music.

As the days go by, some research discovered about the side effects of using earphones or headphones in our health. Let us discuss some side effects:

Hearing Loss

the most popular is the hearing loss, according to research Normal conversation is measured about around 60 decibels, a vacuum cleaner is recorded at 75 decibels, and a loud symphony is around 120-129 decibels.

Sounds above 85 decibels are harmful, also depending on the duration of activity the effects will be more severe.

The longer you stay in a place that the sounds are too loud, this can damage your ear. Precautions are considered in these situations. Buying earmuffs and using earplugs are one of the things that can help you prevent the damage that may incur if ever you are exposed to noise.

Bad effects on brain

According to some studies, Loud music on headphoneshas the same effect on our nerves as multiple sclerosis and may cause hearing loss. It is also known that noise levels above 110 decibels strip a protective coating or insulation from nerve fibers carrying signals from the ear to the brain.

This protective coating is called myelin. Loss of this protection may disrupt electrical nerve signals going thru the brain.

Life threatening accidents

The number of victims using earphones or headphones during the accidents increased recently, accidents in a train, in a car (since they cannot hear a honk), victims of robbery on the street (since they are not alert on their surroundings), and even anywhere you are in danger because you will not be able to hear the warnings of other people.

Ear infection

It is normal for us to share our earphones or headphones to our friends and families, but there is a bad effect of being so kind too. According to some case studies Bad earphone hygiene canalso cause a whole host of nasty ailments too: Middle ear infections, fungus, swimmer's ear, blackheads, pimples to name a few.

And it is noted that because our wax also contains strep bacteria, if we have a cut or open wound near to the wax, it could also cause a serious skin infection. So be cautious when sharing your personal stuff like earphones or

Now, we already knew the side effects of using earphones or headphones directly in our ears, we cannot just stop listening to our favorite music! My suggestion is to use a high end home theater system, most especially if you are a home buddy, or want to have a perfect weekends, or need to calm your mind from stressful day, then high end loudspeakers from Sonus Faber also works best for luxury home theater sound systems is perfect for you!
