I would really love to know: Since when did "skinny" become what every girl is supposed to be. Since when is it the media's job to tell us what we are supposed to look like? The tabloids throw these images in our faces of all those oh-so-flawless celebrities that we are expected to measure up to. We are constantly exposed to these images of so-called perfection. And then every girl's head is filled with the idea that everyone will hate you if you don't look exactly like that. If you don't have the long, flowing hair like Kim Kardashian. Or the beautiful complexion. Or these huge boobs that everyone finds so attractive. Right? Everyone holds that look up on a pedastal as opposed to the reality of it all. They would rather have you to be fake and look good, than to be who you really are and let your own light shine. Well here's what I say: I'm a girl. I have imperfections. If you want a fake, piece of plastic, go buy yourself a Barbie doll. I have flaws. And that's okay, because I'm real. I am me and You are You. And it isn't anyone else's job to tell us how to be ourselves.
With Love for Yourself,
<3 Adriann :)
