How to Configure Email in Windows Live Mail (Outlook)?

a part of the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, a personal information
manager from Microsoft, is mainly used as an email application that also contains
calendar, contacts, task, note making, web browsing, etc.

is quite popular especially in the corporate industry as it is easy to use,
safe and secure. Its email service is widely used in the business arena. If you
have an email that you want to configure it on Outlook (Windows Live Mail),
keep a check on the underneath guidelines.

Configuration: at the file explorer or search bar, type “Outlook”.

2.       Click on Outlook.

3.       Click on “Next

4.      When asked for an email
account, press “Yes

5.       Now there are two options.

1. Try
with the “Auto account setup”. Fill in the details provided by your
administrator. Click next.

2. Let it connect to the mail
server. If prompted, insert the password again.

3. Once it is connected successfully,
you will see something like this “Congratulation! Your email account was
successfully configured and is ready to use.”

4. Now click “Finish”. This may take a while depending
on the number of emails. Your outlook is now ready to use. You might get an
error, as some providers have compatibility issues with Auto setup. Sometimes
their server types are different or you have an account which is either POP3 or
IMAP, then you have to configure it manually instead of Auto setup.


1.  At
the file explorer or search bar, type “Outlook”.

2.  Click on Outlook.

3.  Click on “Next”

4.  When asked for an email
account, press “Yes”

5.  Now choose “Manual Setup”
or “Additional server types”

6.  Choose “POP or IMAP” and
press Next.

7.  Fill
in all your credentials as per your network administrator which includes server
type, incoming server, outgoing server, port etc. These details can also be
found on internet but depends on providers.

8. Once you fill all the
details click on “Test account settings” This will send a test email, if
everything is fine and configured correctly. You will see email sent

9  Click on “Next” and then
Finish. You are all set.
