Bleaching black hair blonde.. and it won't fall out!<3

Everyone's been there. You grow sick of your luscious blonde or light brown locks, and on a whim decide to dye it raven black. You adore it... for a few months. Then, you begin to miss your previous hair, leaving you sobbing in the work lunchroom over your dry, crow-wing hair. No fear, I have found a way to bleach your hair without making it fall out, using simple drug store products. Enjoy! xoxo

Warning: Do not exceed bleaching your hair more then three times a week.

Stick to one brand of hair dyes, so there won't be a chemical disaster of epic proportions.

Step 1: Cruise the hair dye aisles of your local drug store. I chose L'Oreal dye line, it's cheap but it works. Buy 2 or 3 L'Oreal Blondissma bleach, depending on how long your hair is or how long ago you dyed it. I went with three. Alongside that, purchase L'Oreal brass banisher. Alongside that, purchase a toner with a blue or purple base. This will also help tone out the brass. If  you wish, get a DARK BLONDE or LIGHT BROWN hair dye, please do not use ash blonde, your hair will turn GREEN.

STep 2: You must have at least 4 hours of spare time. This is a long complicated process and must be taken seriously. Apply the bleach to unwashed hair, but do not massage bleach into your roots, the virgin hair will bleach pale blonde instantly. Wrap your hair into a ballerina bun, cinch it with a hair band that does not have a metal clasp thingy. Do Not Use Metal Products With Bleach. Wrap your hair up in a plastic bag, one with no lettering on it, or else you will have an imprint of Safeway or Super A or something.

Step 3: Wait one hour, 90 minutes max. Wash out your hair while wearing gloves. Use conditioner supplied. Let it air dry or towel dry it (gently) and once dry, repeat step 2, EXCEPT this time mix in with the bleach a deep conditioner. Your hair will be ORANGE. Do not PANIC. Mix the conditioner in with bleach, I use BEDHEAD DUMB BLONDE conditioner, made specifically for  bleached hair. I also reccommend buying BEDHEAD DUMB BLONDE shampoo, which is purple-blue. Use this shampoo every night, for over time it will also help get rid of the brass.

Step 4: Your hair should be dark yellow with orange streaks. Once again, DON'T PANIC. Apply third box of bleach, but use deep conditioner once again. Wait 90 minutes.

Step 5: Your hair should be light yellow with streaks of orange. Apply L'Oreal brass banisher, leave on for 40 minutes, but do not exceed. Wash out with conditioner supplied. Now your hair will be a medium yellow with tiny streaks of orange. This is fine. Apply toner to hair, REMEMBER BLUE OR PURPLE BASE. Do not use ASH it will make your hair GREEN.

Step 6: Toner is done. Wash from hair. It will be a light strawberry blonde. Finally, apply hair dye. Go with a blonde shade darker then your hair, a lighter shade will not show. You must rebleach it for it to be platinum, but your hair has gone through enough trauma.

Step 7: After the final dye, it will be golden strawberry blonde. You must wait 2 weeks, using purple shampoo and conditioner every night.

Step 8: Highlight your hair. I used Revlon Frost and Glow. I bought two boxes-- one light blonde, one honey blonde. Highlight your hair all over your head.

Viola. Keep highlighting your hair ONCE A MONTH and within 2-3 months your hair will be a lovely shade of dark blonde, light blonde, platinum, whatever you wish it to be. This process takes patience. You do not want your hair falling out of your head.

Think well through this. Consult a hair stylist. And good luck! xoxo
