If you have just turned the big 3-0, you
might not feel that different; but your skin is certainly going to need a bit
of a different treatment. The last thing that you want to do is wake up
tomorrow and have regrets about not caring for your skin today. With some commitment,
you should be able to rest easy, knowing that your healthy complexion is going
to be there for quite some time.
In Your 30s
As you get on in age, you might notice a
few of the signs of aging when you stare in the mirror. You might notice that
certain factors (such as hormones, stress, and sun) have taken a toll on
your skin. Even if you have not been caring for your skin regularly, now would
be the perfect time to do so.
Tip #1 – Why You Need To Exfoliate
Both the metabolism of your cells and
the cell turnover is going to slow down as we reach our 30s. If we want to make
sure that our skin still looks young, we should make sure that we exfoliate
regularly to help renew the skin. By doing, we are going to remove dry cells
from the surface of our skin.
Tip #2 – Make Sure To Take Your
Vitamins
You probably already know that our skin
loses some of its elasticity as we get older. In order to help reduce the
damage of free radicals and the breakdown of collagen, it is essential that we
get enough vitamins to help our skin. If you want to keep your skin tone even,
vitamin C and E can help. It is also a good idea to eat foods that are high in
antioxidants (avocados, citrus fruits, spinach, and berries) that are
great for providing these essential nutrients.
Tip #3 – Sun Can Damage And Age Our
Skin
We already know that we should be
careful with exposure to sunlight. However, what you might not know is that
exposure to sunlight is the number one cause of premature skin aging. Many
people actually avoid sunscreen because they have experienced a few breakouts
after using it or because they simply forget to apply. However, it is a good
idea to keep looking for a formula that actually matches your needs. It is a
good idea to start wearing sunscreen today if you have not been diligent about
wearing it before.
Here
are some skin care
tips I have found that might be helpful.
