How to Get Smooth and Glowing Skin Easily?

Being the beholder of smooth skin and glowing skin really doesn’t require millions of dollars to bankroll your skin care endeavors. Quite the contrary actually, though loads of cash could lead you to an excellent skin condition.  You can get glowing skin from simple do-it-yourself practices and help keep it smooth and youthful. Here are some of the ways to get smooth and glowing skin easily:

1. Lemon juice and coconut oil

Coconut oil is popular among skin care circles owing to its numerous perks. These include being a natural moisturizer as well as being the go-to option for brightening dull complexions with immediate results. In making this mask, take about two tablespoons of coconut oil (cold pressed) and spill in a few drops of lemon juice. Go ahead to massage the mixture on your face and leave it there for 2 to 3 minutes. Afterward, wipe it off using a damp cotton ball. The use of lemon juice and coconut oil on your skin will bring about a flawless glow to your face.

2. Rose water

Aside from the wonderful scent that rose water has, spraying it on one’s skin is good for glowing skin, toning and rejuvenation. This is because it acts as a detoxifier and stabilizes the skin’s pH levels. With that said, fill up a spray bottle with some ice-cold rose water and use it to spray the rosewater on your face. Doing so will remove dirt on your skin and result in a pinkish glow.

3. Baking soda and face moisturizer

A combination of face moisturizer and baking soda is also a great way to get smooth skin. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of a facial moisturizer of your choice. Proceed to smear the mixture on your face and with the aid of a makeup sponge, massage the mask on your face in a circular motion for about 2 minutes. Afterward, wash it off with some cool water and then apply some moisturizer. This mask will have your skin feeling very smooth and glowing.

4. Steam

Exposing your skin to steam helps open up its pores and also take away all the impurities that are deep-seated in the skin. This will make your face look clear and glow too.  A common impurity is blackheads which result from clogged pores. Through steaming, the pores are softened and this makes them easy to be popped. Another perk to steaming is that it boosts the circulation of blood which results in skin cells that are healthy. So how do you steam yourself at home? Simply boil some water in a pot, then add some mint leaves, lemon or some rose petals. These will add a rich smell to the water and will also result in a soothing feel. Next, place a towel on your head and then lower your face on the steam. The towel prevents the steam from escaping. Ensure that you don’t lower your face too close to the steam as this will cause broken veins.

5. Olive oil, honey and lemon

Honey is a great cleanser for the skin and has anti-inflammatory qualities too. It also prevents skin damage and reduces aging through antioxidants.  As for the lemon, it is a rich source of Vitamin C and contains nutrients that deal with skin problems. It, therefore, lightens the skin, does away with dark spots and leaves one with a glow. Another ingredient to this mask is olive oil which has been in use since ancient times by women to achieve beautiful skin. Olive oil maintains the skin’s elasticity and gives it a radiant glow.

When making the mask, mix equal parts of the three ingredients. Apply the mask onto your skin using a cotton ball. Leave it to be for 20 minutes after which you will rinse it off using warm water. The mask can also be applied on the face overnight and rinsed at dawn.

6. Yogurt

The Greeks have been known to use yogurt for their skin care. Yogurt is good for your skin as it is rich in proteins and lactic acid. In addition, it contains enzymes which help soothe the skin while cleansing it and this makes the skin to be smooth and soft. One can also mix it with honey and lemon to come up with an exfoliating and moisturizing mask. You can start off with massaging your face with a tablespoon of yogurt for cleansing. The enzymes in the yogurt will remove the dead skin and also help in producing new skin cells. The end result is skin that is both smooth and glowing.

7. Milk cream

Massage a tablespoonful of cold milk cream on your skin for 2 to 3 minutes using your fingertips. Then rinse your face using cool water. Milk cream is filled with vitamins and nutrients which help in the smoothening dry skin and make it glow.

As you have seen, getting smooth and glowing skin doesn’t cost much. In fact, all the steps are DIY making it easy to get a smooth and glowing skin.
