Why You Should Go to Your Local Spa More Often

In the past, the health and relaxation benefits of spa therapy were the thing of
far-off, high-end resorts that were out of the reach of the average person.
More recently, day spas have blossomed in the U.S. economy, making the spa
experience more affordable and accessible to millions of Americans, but many
still only visit the spa on select, very special occasions.

"Spa occasions" might include upcoming weddings, anniversary getaways,
the graduation of your high school or college kid, or just looking your
best at Christmas and Easter parties. And while spas certainly do answer the
need for these special occasion usage, they also have benefits that make them
worthwhile any day of the year.

Below, we look at six benefits of regular spa attendance, one or more of which
will apply to almost everyone:

1.Stress Reduction

Some may say their schedule is too busy to allow for frequent spa visits, but the
very busyness of your schedule could be a good reason to find a way to squeeze
spa visits into it. Even a quick, half-hour spa
visit can greatly reduce your stress levels

to alleviate headaches by dilating your blood vessels, which in turn decreases
the excess pressure affecting your head.

3. A Better Night's Sleep

Sleeping disorders are all too common in our modern economy and modern society.
Lifestyle changes, getting more of the sun's rays and more fresh air, and
making adjustments to your diet can all help, but spa treatment has also been
proven to help restore normal sleeping patterns. By relaxing and rejuvenating
for an hour or a half-hour during the day, you boost your energy and activity
level, which makes you more tired and ready to sleep

body and leave you healthier and looking more youthful.

We have looked at six key reasons to visit the local spa more often, instead of
reserving spa trips for special occasions only. No doubt there are many more
