The UK pharmacy chain Boots have confirmed that in the coming Autumn they will be a part of the upcoming Port Glasgow Retail Park.It was previously leaked in January that sometime in this year Boots would be moving into one of the open Clydebuilt Shopping Park units and with this announcement, this leak has been confirmed. As with Next and Marks and Spencer, Boots ( https://www.loc8nearme.co.uk/boots/ ) is expected to open its doors for the first time in Autumn. The Ediston Real Estate director, Alastair Dickie, has stated that Boots is going to be a fantastic addition to the Port Glasgow Retail Park. Alistair went on to say, "With Boots having decided to be a part of this new development, we're certain that it will improve the overall quality of the retail park as well as bring a wider range of customers. The Port Glasgow Retail Park is one of the first retail parks in Scotland for years and we're excited to be the developers behind it.""Before we took over this site and transformed it into a retail park, it was an abandoned dockyard which no developers had any intention of taking onboard. We've taken on a job which no others were willing to and we're proud of the result", Alistair continued. He went on to tell us, "With the support of the Inverclyde Council alongside the financial security which we have received from the Strathclyde Pension Fund ( https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/strathclyde-pension-fund ), we are able to bring a boost to local employment."Boots have signed a 15-year lease on the unit which they will occupy. As well as Boots, shoppers will be able to find several other shops including B&Q, Aldi, Tesco Extra, B&M, and TK Maxx. The Port Glasgow Retail Park along with the Marston's Family Pub and Tesco Extra which will be located in the area are said to be creating as many as 1,000 jobs in Inverclyde; a massive boost in employment.
