'The Look' - what does that mean? What is 'The Look'?
'The Look' is what celebs and models are wearing and the clothes which trendy shops are selling.
'The Look' is the ultimate trendy person, the whoaa your so in kind of person.
'The Look' is what most people want to look like to seem like.
But do you really want to follow the look? Do you really want to do what the celebs are doing to themselves? Starving themselves to look thinner and then binging on alchohol and food again? Spending money all the time on clothes and shoes which they'll probably only wear once, having no creativity in the clothes and accessories?
Follow the look to a certain extent. Follow it so that you look cool and trendy with a few must-have fashion items. Following the complete utter look is like having your friend next to you and going out and buying exactly the same outfit as her, the same shoes, shorts, t-shirt, headband, bangles, handbag, earrings and even nail varnish? I doubt many people would do that. They might get the same nail varnish or shorts, but I doubt that you would really copy your friends look that much? In fact check out the lyrics of 'If people looked the same' by Groove Armada... it's got some point in it. But anyway its the same sort of thing. Do people not want to have their own individual style? Do they want just to look like a celeb? Ok if somethings in which suits you then go ahead get it if you like it or if whats in this season totally works for you then do that - but always following the fashion - especially when it changes so much and you find yourself wearing something that you would wear if it wasent in fashion. Don't you see its silly?
Sorry but I just feel strongly about this. And if your worried about guys not liking you because your not in the amazing clothes, well your wrong. If the fashion makes you look great, then wear it. If the fashion dosent suit you then wear your own style and guys will see you in your more attractive form, and it also means that they'll like the real you. Like I couldn't stand it when jeggings were in, someone I know (whos very trendy) was wearing them and they just didn't work because she hasent got the long slim legs to pull it off. Nor have I, but I wear things which make them look longer and thinner, like flared jeans and skinny jeans.
