Honestly, August has not even begun yet and all I see is "back to school this", "back to school that" I'm starting to question whether summer break actually exists! I know for kids in the states school starts in late August but honestly! school starts in September here so why, when I turn on my television as I enjoy this well deserved break from textbooks and class rooms should I be subjected to watching these commercials reminding me to get back into "school mode" when I just got in "summer mode" two days ago? and you know whats even sillier?! The commercials! Why are they so superficial?! All they focus on are kids dancing around in their "cool" new clothes and "sick" name brand shoes and their shiny new supplies, why don't we get real about school? When is the last time anyone has gone to school and seen some kid breakdancing in the hallwzay in sync with their friends (like foreal?), really this is the problem, kids wouldn't be so bored of school if they weren't under this ruse that its this fun party place where people dance, play, and look like children's place models everyday! Stop lying, we've been there we know what it really is, clothes rip and get stained and shoes get black from the playground within the first week, supplies get lost and everyone's overflowing pencil case ends up with a crappy sharpener and a few dirty crayola pencil crayons. Back to School is like its own holiday, and these corporations are (as far as I can see) the sole benefitters (that's probably not a word, oh well).
