If you don't play professional basketball, there are few advantages to being extra tall (or that is the belief ordinary people console themselves with). All that bending through doorways - not forgetting the true way womenfolk stare with hungry, lust-filled eyes. That must be very awful. However, the most maddening (and real) issue facing the taller man should be finding clothes that fit properly and look attractive.
But do not be afraid, our handsome looking tall friends, we are here to provide you with five style guidelines to live by and take every advantage of your height. And they always help you in your daily life.
1. Two-Button Rule
Double-breasted suits are truly complimenting on tall men, yet they do tend to fall in and out of fashion. So if you are buying a timeless cut, get one of these suit jackets with two buttons - this means the lapels sit higher up, which helps add width to your shoulders. So wear double-breasted suits because they bring out your true shape.
2. Suit Up in Slim Fits
With regards to tailoring, men that are tall should turn down any fits with excess fabric. The billowing material is ill-suited regardless of your body shape. It does unusual things to your proportion if you are long-limbed. So emphasize your build as opposed to concealing it by attempting a slim-fit suit in a long length. Most likely best not to go all out thin, as this regularly makes tall guys look lean.
3. Earn Your Stripes
Tall men are one of the few groups who can truly pull off horizontal stripes and never have to worry about any of it making them look wider and, thus, shorter. Horizontal stripes are also a great way of interrupting the 'vertical line' of your body, which is simply perfect for anyone who is conscious of looking too tall - when there is any such thing. So you look good when you wear shirt with horizontal stripes.
4. Break a Leg
Well, not practically, of course. However, the break in your trousers (the small pooling of materials around the ankle joint) should be held to a complete minimum. This is brought about by trousers that are too long and draws the attention of on-lookers further down - hardly suitable for any individual who would like to take advantage of their height. So always wear trousers that are not too long because they make your look smart and attractive.
5. So Long, So Good
Longer overcoats are another thing that looks perfect for Tall Men's Clothing. They make a strong line between the shoulders, hips, and knee which, also, helps to give balance to your proportion. Likewise, these coats are a super-smart choice for winter; however, shorter folks can't generally escape from longer overcoats, as they can make short legs look basically dumpy. So it is not a good idea for short folks to wear longer overcoats but a great idea for tall folks.
When you follow these guidelines you are sure to make ladies go crazy about you.
