Well, there’s only one
answer to this question. Before we look at it, first let’s understand what a
transgender is, so that there is no confusion about this word.
Transgender is someone whose
gender is different from the one they were assigned at birth. Transgender
individuals may identify themselves as female or male. They may also feel that
neither of the two descriptions fit them.
Now, let’s come to
transgender women. A trans woman is someone who was born a male but identify
her as a woman. Some, but not all, transgender women also opt for a medical
So, what a transgender women
really is—a woman or man?
Well, your genitals are only
a small part of your body. Similarly, your body is a minuscule part of your
overall being. And that’s why a trans woman is a woman.
Your genitals do not define
you. How you feel is the most important thing. A trans woman feels she is a
woman and so she is one. That’s the truth; there’s nothing more to it.
Coming back to the question,
the answer is right there in front of you. How can dating a woman (remember,
trans woman is much a woman as any woman born that way) turn you into gay?
In short, dating a trans
woman doesn’t make you gay. You are straight, so stop worrying yourself to
death about it. And there’s no need for you to give up the pleasure of the
company of your partner on account of her being a transgender.
Come to think about it, when
you are out on a date with a woman, how many times you think about her
genitals? When you cannot even see her genitals, how can they affect the way
you enjoy her company? And when you do see them, can’t you realize that her
genitals are just a small part of her and that there’s a lot more to her than
her genitals and that there are many attributes of her that you can be more attracted
to than her genitals (all this is assuming, your transgender girlfriend still
has a penis)?
And if your partner has had
a medical transition and you enjoy sex with her, just why you should worry
about her previously having a penis instead of a vagina? Beats the mind,
So, whichever way you look
at it, you can come to only one conclusion. Trans woman is a woman and dating
her is no different than dating a woman who was born with feminine genitals.
