The standard of beauty has undoubtedly change through the years, but one thing ultimately remains the same – that is people still look up to famous personalities for the ultimate standard of beauty. This is why there are so many people obsessed with celebrity-endorsed beauty products in the hopes of looking as gorgeous as their idols.
This trend is not limited to women either, even the manliest of men are becoming more conscious of their physical appearance. However, you don’t need to spend an insane amount of money just to look as gorgeous as those celebrities you see by watching movies online on M4u. Here are some of the top five beauty regimen you do to get that striking, stunning look as your favorite celebrity.
1. Put on liberal amounts of sunscreen.
As Baz Luhrmann’s 1999 song recommends, everybody’s free to wear sunscreen. Wearing sunscreen actually has long-term benefits and would keep your skin from being burnt, chapped and/or dry. It can also help your skin lock in the moisture in your skin to keep firm and supple. Choose a sunscreen with 20 SPF or higher for better skincare protection.
2. Invest in a good quality skin moisturizer.
If you really want to have a nice, glowing skin like your fave celeb, then you have to invest in some high-quality skin moisturizer. But don’t let its price fool you – always consider that expensive moisturizers do not always mean that it’ll be good for your skin. You might end up trying a lot of brands before you can settle for the one that suits your skin type the most, but this is a skincare experiment that is well-worth the trouble.
3. Eat your greens.
You don’t have to say goodbye to all those pizza and cheeseburgers, if you really don’t want to. However, try to introduce some leafy greens and delicious fruits into your diet. While red meat brings your body the necessary protein, vegetables and fruits contain plenty of vitamins and minerals that are pretty good for your skin (and no, the lettuce and pickles in your burger hardly counts as a veggie).
4. Apply eye cream every night.
You might think that eye cream is just one of those products being marketed to poke a hole in your wallet, but really, applying some eye cream before you go to bed works – especially if you have been sporting dark, puffy eyes. Eye cream works more effectively when you apply it before you rest your eyes and visibly reduces the swelling and the dark circles. If you don’t like creams, you can try eye serums, which are lighter and more easily absorbed by the skin.
If you don’t have the budget for eye creams, you can try the home remedy of putting cold tea bags over your eyes.
5. Wash your face – no matter how tired you might be.
When you’re dead tired from school or work, it is easy to just flop on your bed and sleep as is. However, not washing your face before you go to bed can have dire consequences on your skin. For one, your face becomes more vulnerable to pimple-causing germs when you sleep with makeup on. Even without makeup, the accumulated sweat and dirt from the day’s work will definitely irritate your skin and cause major breakouts in the days that’ll follow.
Don’t forget to use a mild facial cleanser to clean your face every night before you go to sleep.
By following these beauty regimen, you’ll be a few steps closer to achieving the glowing, smooth skin of your favorite Hollywood celebrity.
