Use a straightener to make Lipgloss!

If you are like me and are sitting with a bunch of almost empty lipsticks and are about to throw them out; DONT! Make lip gloss

What you need:

·         Lipsticks

·         Vaseline

·         A Straightener (I used my GHD)

·         A metal Tablespoon

·         Scissors

·         A bobby pin or tweezers

What to do:

·         Put on your Straightener to heat up

·         Using your tweezers or pin place 1 blob of Vaseline into the spoon

·         Cut the lipstick into the spoon or scoop the lipstick into the spoon using the pin. (The amount of lipstick used should be equal to the amount of Vaseline used.)

·         Place the spoon onto the plates of the Straightener and let it melt.

·         Once melted stir the liquid with the pin or tweezers and pour into the container.

·         Place in the freezer for 5-10min.

·         Voila J

I’ve actually done this before & it works great! The base I use is Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer because it gives even more of a shine to the newly created gloss. Then, I pour it into an empty contact lens case – that way I can carry two different shades in my purse, in one easy to open container.

awesome! that is similar to what i do with my lipsticks, it's a hassle for me to have them in the cases so i scoop them out, melt them on a spoon while it's between the hot plates of my straightener, then when it is liquid i quickly put it in my empty small eye-shadow containers. it is more convenient for me lol
