I spend 90% of my daily make up routine on my EYES!!! I love a dramatic, full and wide awake eye. To achieve this (on me anyway takes a couple of steps and a few minutes but trust me it is worth it)
If I am having a really dramatic eye look I ALWAYS start with that first and do my skin after (this just makes fixing mistakes a lot easier).
So After I do my eye look these are the steps I use to ensure that my eyes look vibrant and my lashes look fuller and longer.
For brighter eyes:
* Apply a white matte eyeshadow or a concealer a few shades lighter than your skin below the arch of your brow and BLEND WELL!
*Apply the same shadow around the inner tear duct to brighten the area
*Apply a cream or white eyeliner to the lower waterline
*For Day make up I replaced using a black liner to my lower lashes with a navy one, this makes the white of your eyes appear whiter,
For Amazing lashes:
* Apply a Khol liner in the darkest black to your tight line (lift up your lashes and fill in the skin exposed) This will give the illusion of thicker and darker lashes.
*Heat your lash curler with your blowdryer and curl your lashes. (start at the base of your lashes and hold for a few seconds and then do the same to the middle of your lashes, then the tips)
*Apply a lengthening mascara (I use Revelons grow luscious mascara but I use the Rimmels sexy curves brush, I will explain this at the end of the post)
*Then Apply 2 coats of a plumping or volume boosting mascara (I use the Avons lash plumper)
*Apply mascara to the lower lashes(check out this post----->http://www.becomegorgeous.com/user/isy-blog/mascara_tip_for_lower_lashes-1662.html)
The reason I switch brushes is simple really : I have tried a million different mascaras from Lancome to MAC to Rimmel. And Some formulas I didn't like but I like their brushes. So what I did was mix them up. I tried different brushes in different mascaras. Everyone will have different preferences so just mix it up until you find the combos which work for you:-)
