Seeing a woman with a face full of unblended harsh foundation is enough to make anyone cringe.
I understand more than anyone the need to cover to cover up and hide imperfections but there are ways to achieve a full coverage look while still looking natural.
For the past week or so I have seen suffering from a really bad breakout around my 1 cheek area and IT NEEDS TO BE COVERED!!! So I thought that this would be the perfect time to share my EMERGENCY ROUTINE with you all.
Most of the time when we suffer from a breakout, the breakout is concentrated on one or two areas of our face and the rest of our face still looks pretty healthy .In my opinion the biggest mistake women make when they have a breakout is to slather their ENTIRE FACE IN FOUNDATION instead of just treating the affected area. This is the way I cover my skin on bad days.
START OFF WITH CLEAN HANDS!!!! I always use a hand sanitizer before touching my face like the so pure Hand sanitizer
1. TREAT IT!
Covering the area is only a temporary solution, treating the problem should be your first order of business. I use the OXY 10 acne lotion as prescribed. Tea tree oil also works well.
2. PREPARE IT!
The easiest way to distract anyone from your affected problem area is to have glowing skin. I mix a drop of Grape seed oil (treats your skin and gives it a glow. Review coming soon) into my Essence my skin mattifying cream and apply it all over my skin except to the affected area.
Let that set for a few minutes and then apply your primer (Palladio herbal foundation Primer)
3. COVER IT!
Now you are ready to cover. Start off by applying a light even layer of a sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer to your entire face( Almay smart shade make up in light/medium) Blend it in well with a foundation brush.
Using a green concealer cover any redness and then use a flesh toned concealer on top in a tapping motion rather than a blending one to ensure a fuller coverage. (Catrice all-round concealer)
Next take your favourite full coverage foundation and apply it with a stippling brush ONLY TO THE AFFECTED AREA. The rest of your face does not need full coverage. For this to look natural your foundation needs to match your skin 100%. If your foundation is slightly lighter or darker than your skin I would suggest using your foundation instead of the tinted moisturizer but apply it very lightly to the rest of your skin and concentrate it more on the problem areas.
4. SET IT!
Set all your hard work with a powder. I prefer a translucent powder because it sets the foundation and concealer without looking cakey. I like the Yardley pressed powder because it has tea tree oil so it sets and treats in one.
5. FLAUNT IT!
