Who does not like to flaunt a blemish-free gorgeous skin? I know I do and hence look for the beauty counters in supermarket shelves, trying in vain to find the best skin cream for my face. I have tried many a cream, and they are so expensive too, yet weren’t quite happy with the way my skin turned out. Dull, oily and dark. Yes, the harsh UV rays did that to my skin. So, I changed the place where I looked and started looking for natural ingredients that would give the glow back without any side-effects.
Of course, natural ingredients came to my rescue, the ones that have been in our beauty cabinet for ages. The natural homemade face packs for skin whitening are the best way to enhance your complexion and make it fair, fresh, glowing and absolutely drool worthy!
1. Milk and Sandalwood for a Flawless Complexion
Milk is that one ingredient that boasts of tonnes of beauty benefits. It clears up spotted complexions, doing away with the usual suspects, dark spots, scars, blemishes and so on. A little bit of cotton wool and a small amount of cold creamy milk can solve more than a few of your skin issues. This natural face pack lightens and whitens your complexion like no other.
Blend a teaspoonful of sandalwood powder with a small amount of milk. Apply this on your face for your 15-20 minutes then rinse off with cold water. Repeat this at least 2-3 times in a week to get a much-improved complexion.
2. Red Lentil, Honey and Curd Pack for a Radiant Complexion
Red lentil has exfoliating properties it brightens your complexion and helps get rid of the dead skin cells. Honey removes dryness and instantly makes the skin fairer. It also acts your very own natural skin bleach but it is a very mild one. Honey can also lighten dark hair on your skin. The lactic acid in curd helps exfoliate and nourish the skin at the same time.
Soak two tablespoons of red lentil overnight. In the morning blend it in a blender and add a spoon full of curd to this mixture along with a half a teaspoon of honey. Blend well and apply the concoction on your face. Let your skin soak in the goodness for ten minutes or at least till the skin pack dries off. Wash it off with loads of water and pat dry.
3. Orange peel and sandalwood powder
Orange peel powder is a savior for those suffering from oily skin. It has exfoliating properties and removes stubborn acne marks. It has pore cleaning properties that help get rid of skin issues such as whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, acne and so on. It also brightens your complexion and removes tanning, the main cause for skin darkening.
Combine 1 teaspoonful of sandalwood powder along with 1/2 teaspoonful of orange peel powder. Blend it well either with milk or rose water and apply it on your face and let it dry. Wash it off with plenty of cold water.
4. Apple Pack for Instant Radiance
Apples are great for skin fairness and the pack is even more effective when you combine it with sandalwood. This pack removes the tanning and skin darkening. Regular application of this pack boosts your complexion and makes your skin luminous. The addition of curd and lemon juice helps your skin look all the fairer and flawless. If you have dry skin add olive oil, alternatively if you have oily skin, skip the oil.
This face pack is simple, just blend apple with 2 tbsp. of curd along with 1 tsp. lemon juice and 1 tsp. olive oil (if you have dry skin). Once you have the concoction, massage it on your face for 5 minutes at least. Next, wash off the face pack with lots of water you can try this pack at least once a week for a peachy complexion.
6. Turmeric Face Pack for Flawless Skin
Turmeric has therapeutic properties for your skin and protects your skin from the ill-effects of pollution and too much of exposure from the sun. Curcumin, the chief component of turmeric gives your skin an amazing radiance, hindering melanin-production in the skin.
Concoct this easy-to-follow skin pack and watch your skin transform in a matter of minutes, combine the paste of 1/2 teaspoonful turmeric paste and a 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder or 1 large pinch of turmeric powder. Blend this with raw milk, add as per requirement. Take care that your concoction does not become too runny. If your skin is not too fond of milk, you can even add rose water, again as per requirement. Apply the pack and add some cucumber slices to your eyes and relax. Once the pack dries off, wash it off with plenty of water. Pat dry.
