Looking for the Best Halloween Costume? Zombies Never Fail (Costume Pictures & Ideas)

Halloween is my favorite holiday. What other time can you have over-the-top fun with your makeup and hair, and feel completely comfortable being a freak?

This year, I will be attending a Zombie Bar Crawl event, and have decided on a Zombie Doll costume. Since I have a passion for all things living-dead anyways, now seems the time to jump on the Zombie band wagon.  Who am I kidding ~ I was addicted to Zombies long before they became trendy!

Zombie Doll Costume Pictures:

Zombie Doll Hair Halloween Costume

Add a few bows to hair for a baby-doll look. This hair style can be obtained with either a pre-styled wig or by using a small barrel curling iron on your own hair.

Zombie Doll Halloween Makeup

Use pale makeup, stripe some veins around eyes with a waterproof liquid eye liner, add purple & black eye shadow for hollow look. Use fake lashes for the rounded eye effect.  Tutorial for this specific look can be found at the MissChevious Blog

Scary Zombie Child with Doll Costume

Find a “Doll- esque” dress and pair with Mary Jane style shoes. Shred your nylons & add some dirt, fake blood.  Carry a doll toy for extra creepy effect.

Just Bitten Zombie Living Dead Girl Doll Costume

Wear very pale foundation. Stream fake blood down the face, starting at top of forehead.  Line eyes with black liner, and shade with deep red & black eye shadow. Purchase some white or pale blue contact lenses.

Zombie Costume Doll Face with Veins & Red Eyes

Use Waterproof Makeup Crayon or Waterproof Eye Linerto create split veins all over face. Use deep red eye shadow to encase eyes.

Apply very pale foundation, and grey eye shadow smudges to encircle eyes. Use a dark red waterproof lipstick liner pencilto draw the cut onto your throat. Dribble some fake blood from the slit, and from eyes / mouth / forehead.  **To make this look more “doll like”curl hair in ringlets and put into high pony tails with bows. Add fake lashes for wide eyed doll effect.

Little Girl Scary Zombie Costume

Find a one-piece pajama set, or PJs with a babyish design. Rip in a few places and apply fake blood to the torn spots. Wear white makeup and put hair in high pony tails Dirty up an old teddy bear to carry with you.

Basic things you will need for any Zombie Costume:

Black Liquid Eye Liner (for lining eyes & drawing veins)

Ratting Comb (to make hair look tulsed and messy)

Dark Purple & Grey Eye Shadow (for a bruised, hollow eye effect)

Fake Blood (for splattering on clothes, bite marks, neck, mouth)

Old or Cheap Clothes (that you can tear up or shred for “attacked” look)

Need to throw a costume together in a rush? Think of situations where you could have been attacked by a zombie…and then turned into one. Take thee to a thrift store for some cheap-o clothes, shred them up with a sharp scissors, then pick up some fake blood in the Halloween section of a local drug store. Voila! Instant Zombie.

Where were you when the Zombie Apolcolypse started?

Playing sports (any sports or cheerleading outfit)

At the prom – great for couples (fancy or frilly dress + tux)

After getting out of the shower (buy a bathrobe)

While sleeping (get some pajamas or lingerie)

While in prison (striped or orange jump suit)

At school (classic school-girl costume w/plaid skirt)

At your wedding – great for couples – (buy a second-hand white dress & veil + tux)

At work (business clothes or specialty work clothes ie: maid, chef, nurse, stewardess etc)

In any case, get creative! Halloween is the time to let your imagination wander! If you need help looking for inspiration on scary costumes, try watching some of the best zombie / horror tv shows or movies: HBO’s True Blood, A&E’s Walking Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Diary of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, Evil Dead, or basically anything George Romero or Rob Zombie has ever created.

**To ensure long lasting Halloween makeup, always use a makeup setting spray. Try Model in a Bottle, or  Urban Decay’s All Nighter Spray. Mist either one onto face after all makeup & fake blood have been applied.
