I'm pretty sure this is the worst week ever.

I won't lie, I'm not much of a fashionista.  I'm a jeans and tee shirts girl through and through.  For me, becoming gorgeous is less about loving clothes and more about loving myself.  They say you have to love yourself before you can love anyone else.

The Tomboy's Dilemma

I'm a gamer.

"Whoa, nerd."

Yeah, I know.  That's really mean, but you're not wrong.  I'm pretty self-aware, I can see my worth.

I live in jeans and tee shirts.  Almost half of the tops in my closet have superhero logos on them.  I own only one pair of leggings, and only two pairs of heels.  I'm not that great at being a girl.  And I was even a cheerleader AND a girl scout!

The truth is, I didn't really have a very prevalent feminine figure in my life.  I was never taught things like clothes and makeup and boys.  I was taught how to throw a football and how to dodge zombies in Resident Evil games.

And that's okay.

I'm comfortable in my own skin.  I love me.  And that, I've learned, is the most attractive thing of all.

I never would've expected this, but I recently learned that many of my guy friends find me remarkably attractive.  I suppose I thought we were too close and I wasn't all that dateable.  But recently, nearly half of my male friends have made some sort of advance or expressed a desire to make an advance.  And I am also in a very deep and very mutual love.

I don't know much about fashion.  I couldn't tell Gucci from Armani, or Coach from Louis V.  But I can teach you how to become gorgeous.

Be yourself.  Love yourself.  The rest will follow.

I love all of your faces!

Whoa man.

Hey, good post. I understand totally how you feel. I'm a boy who's always been considered a sissy. And that's probably worse than a girl being a tomboy. But my mom always taught me that I am what I am and just be the best at what I am. So ty for the post!!
