How CBD Oil Helps To Improve Dog Health and Make it Attractive

If it’s not improving anxiety, it’s providing pain relief. If it’s not helping with pain, then it’s eliminating nausea and regulating appetite. In actuality, CBD oil helps with all of those things and more!

I know your mind is screaming “snake-oil” right now or maybe it’s screaming “I’m not getting my dog high”. That’s actually a completely normal response that many who now give their pets CBD first had. Honestly, it was my response too!

I found the best way to dispel these myths, and what made me fall head-over-heels for CBD for pet health, was someone just laying out the simple facts on CBD. So how about we don’t waste any more time and get to discovering how CBD oil helps to improve your pet’s health.

There is no way CBD can help with so many things!

First, CBD is a phytocannabinoid found in hemp and cannabis, and its actual name is Cannabidiol. And before you freak out by the term cannabinoid, did you know that your body creates natural cannabinoids known as endocannabinoids

Or how about the fact that chocolate has cannabinoids? Do you love flax seeds, because not only do they contain cannabinoids, they even have CBD in small amounts as well.

So what are cannabinoids?

There are a lot of cannabinoids out there in various different foods, plants, and animals, well over 100 are found in hemp alone. Cannabinoids are simply chemical compounds that act on receptors and alter the release of neurotransmitters.

This is great because so many issues arise when these naturally occurring neurotransmitters are either poorly produced or in small amounts. CBD increases the chemical messengers that the body needs to properly fight infections, calm anxiety, reduce pain, etc.

So CBD oil is just promoting the body’s natural defense against threats?

Correct! All mammals use a process known as homeostasis that keeps them stable despite outside influences. From fighting infections with inflammation to keeping the body’s internal body temperature within a set range regardless of the temperature outside, homeostasis job is to make sure this all happens and stays in check. And the biggest way CBD helps is just making sure homeostasis is occurring at the rate it needs to and give it a boost when it’s not.

Does that mean it’s good for general health as well?

CBD oil can be given for preventative health, general well being, and chronic health illnesses. Still don’t believe it can help your dog’s health? Then try it out for yourself! Because of how CBD works, you can take it, and feel and reap all the same benefits your pets will get from it.

Now, that’s my number one method of convincing anyone. Simply show someone the proof that CBD is safe and let them try it out for themselves. Once they start feeling more at ease, less stiff and sore, and are in a better mood, they will fall in love with CBD and rush to take it for themselves and give it to their pets.

Why should your pet being getting all the benefits and improved health that comes with taking CBD when you can as well?!

You said it’s safe, so it’s not marijuana, right?

Not even close! While CBD is one of the biggest reasons marijuana has been shown to have so many medical properties, it is not THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). THC acts quite different and will actually latch onto cannabinoid receptors found in the body.

CBD can only latch onto an enzyme that breaks down naturally occurring endocannabinoids, which then latch onto the receptor. THC is also the only known cannabinoid that causes a high, so no need to worry about getting your dog high when taking CBD.

Awesome, so where can I find it?

That’s the best question you’ve asked yet. There are a lot of great companies that offer CBD oil and you’ll always want to check the reviews, but as long as you stick to a few rules then you can ensure your Pet CBD Oil.

  • Make sure it’s derived from hemp and not cannabis

  • Look for a site that promotes their transparency

  • You can learn a lot by reading the label - you want the label to tell you it’s derived from hemp, as well as showing you the CBD content in the bottle.

You should now feel much better about giving CBD oil to your dog for their health, and I want to wish you luck on your pursuit for improving your pet’s health. CBD oil is a wonderful place to start.
