I recently found my skin breaking out A LOT more since last September... I couldn't understand why because bad skin isn't in my genes and I was using a lot of prduct on it. My mom said it''s just part of being a teen but none of my friends skins were half as bad as mine so I decided to use loads of these products and I began to pick at them more and provoke them. It turned out there was 5 main reasons my skin was in a bad way
1. I moved away from home to a boarding school and I found myself not drinking as much water
You need to aim for at least 5 glasses a day
2. I was using way to much product on my skin.
Ever heard the phrase less is more? Well believe me its true in so many
3. I kept picking and provoking the spot and it was only making it 10 times worse
I should have let my imune system deal with it so It would no how to handle spots
4. This one I still haven't figured a solution to.
I wasn't getting enough sleep at night because I am not comfortable where I sleep. Guess I have to wait till I can leave in June!
5. I wasn't taking make up off properly at night. You shouldn't wear make up everyday
And if you do ALWAYS take it off at night.
What I did I started drink loads and loads of water. My skin felt way more hydrated after only a few days!! I stoped using all these products and I only splash my face with water and use moisturizer.(unless I wear make up then I use cleanser to get it off) I began to leave my spots alone and deal with themselves. Well I sleep more at the weekend and I have vowed that when I leave that hell hole of a school in June I will get at least 8 hours sleep a night. I now only wear make up on weekends that I am going out and I always remember to take it off.
Its so simple!! Remember EVERYONE (yes even the pretty models) gets the odd spot once and a while but we can do our best to stop that for as long as possible :)
Good Luck
