Electrolysis And It’s Uses In Cosmetic Surgery

Electrolysis in Williamsville NY is a chemical process that uses electrical current in order to stimulate a non-spontaneous reaction. Non-spontaneous reactions are reactions that require energy in order to work during their process. It means that the process may not take place alone and its reversed direction is unfavorable.

Its common use is separating metals found in natural source. Other uses of electrolysis are purification of metals or decomposition of some compounds like water. The process takes place in an electrolytic cell and it is a type of electrochemical cell. It is not like the cell in the body but in a container. This means that these cells will have enough energy to drive this reaction in an opposite or reverse direction like in a battery. However, an electrolytic cell should not be confused with electrolysis. Always keep in mind that electrolysis process has to be done with the use of an electrolytic cell.

Electrolysis is also a technique used to remove hair. It is highly effective and safe when it is done by a qualified doctor.  There are 3 methods used in electrolysis and it works on all types of hair, skin types and hair colors.

The first technique uses thermolysis or short wave diathermy which is based on alternating current at a low voltage or high frequency. The water molecules that surround the follicle will vibrate, produce heat and stop blood supply on the roots. This will weaken the hair and it will be destroyed in the end.

Galvanic DC or direct current is a method that leads to a chemical reaction in water and salt within the follicle. It is a reaction that creates a chemical called Lye or Sodium Hydroxide. Lye prevents nourishment of the cells that cause hair growth.

Blend is the latest method and it combines Thermolysis and Galvanic. It is an effective method since Lye is capable of weakening the hair better if it is heated. It is recommended for someone who wants a comfortable yet quickest way to get rid of hair especially these who have distorted and curly hair follicles. To achieve effective and successful results, every person requires repeated treatments. This is because hair has growing cycles known as Anagen, Catagen and then Telogen and for the treatment to be effective, it has to be done during the Anagen cycle.
