Must Use heat protector spray:

Before you iron out your hair, it is essential to apply proper heat protector to your hair. You can either prepare your own heat protector oil at home or buy a heat protector spray or simply massage your hair with two or three drops of almond oil or Moroccan oil.

Protect your hair from damage:
  • Before you iron your hair, your hair must be thoroughly dry because applying heat to wet hair can cause permanent damage to hair and its root.

  • Hydrogen bonds help to keep hair curly. So, hair straightening works by breaking down the hydrogen bonds in dry hair, but the bonds tend to reform when your hair regains its moisture or when you wash your hair.

  • Some people apply heat protection products on wet hair for even distribution. But, it is better to apply it on dry hair because when you apply on wet hair, too much of moisture can easily mix with heat protection products and can give undesired, results.

  • After you apply heat protection products, it is better to comb your hair evenly, so that the heat protection product will get evenly distributed on all strands of your hair.
