Queensland Floods Part 2

These floods are getting worse. i've been watching Channel 9's coverage of the floods and to hear stories of whole families being swept away and killed is absolutely devastating. This man told how he heard children screaming and crying for help next door and he couldn't do anything. There's the story of a family trapped in a car where they could only save the ten year old boy before the car was swept away.

At the moment 15 people are confirmed dead, with 61 people missing, but the number is constantly fluctuating. Entire towns have yet to be searched. I guarantee you the number of the dead will rise. They showed footage of a reporter in a boat, that was quite literally on top of a huge truck. They were going over the town. THAT is how high the water is. 75% of queensland has been affected. It is going to take weeks just to search everywhere for bodies. Imagine coming back to you home and finding someone in your living room.

Imagine this happening in your town. Imagine watching as the 8m wall of water ripped your little brother or sister away and drag them with it. They have no hope of surviving that. And the horrible truth is, that's a true story. Imagine being a little kid, and finding out it killed your parents. You are alone. And the horrible truth is, that's a true story. Imagine your grandparents, who were out shopping when it hit, could they hold on tight enough, for long enough? No. And the horrible truth is, that's a true story. THIS IS SERIOUS.

Please. I am begging you. Get your parents to help, to donate. The damage bill is going to be hundreds of millions of dollar, and it is going to take years to rebuild.
