I seen this in a Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil commerical. Once you get out of the shower/bathtub, just pat dry your legs, but don't completely dry them and then put some baby oil on them (you can use it on your arms too if they're dry, but I use Olay body ribbons and I haven't had to use lotion on my arms in years). Once you put the baby oil on your legs (or wherever you need it) do not dry them anymore. I've just recently tried it, and it works very well. I also tried one morning using the oil and then the next not to do, and my legs are slightly dry.
So use oil to beat that dryness in the dreaded winter cold.
In the Spring, Summer, Fall seasons, for me, using the Olay Boby Ribbons works very well to keep my body nice and hydrated without having to use any lotions (except on my hands because I'm constantly washing them and hands just do not retain moisture that well).
