5 tips to enhance your curves

Curves are in, and it’s about time we show them off and make
the most of them. While you could use vaser lipo to contour your body,
there are easier options if you want to enhance your natural curves. The trick
is to know which clothes and styles flatter your body the most and while there
might be a lot of trial and error involved, once you get to know your body
shape you’ll find shopping for the right clothes to be a lot easier. If you
want to highlight your curves, here are a few wardrobe tips to get you started.

The right jeans

The right kind of jeans really can make all the difference
and a good pair of jeans can completely change your body shape. If you want to
create hips you might find low rise jeans more flattering, whereas if you want
to draw attention to your waist a pair of mid to high rise jeans will draw
attention to that flattering inward curve. Avoid jeans that are too tight or
are too high/low. Extra skinny jeans can either flatten your curves or misshape
your legs. Ignore the numbers on the label and find a size that fits you
comfortably, following the line of your legs rather than trying to strangle

The right patterns
and detailing

Do you remember that black and white dress Kate Winslet wore
that everyone went mad over? The black panelling on the sides cinched in her
waist, skimmed her hips and flattered her incredible hourglass figure. When
choosing outfits, the right kind of prints and detailing can really transform
your body shape. A structured peplum top, for example, shows off your waist and
adds to your hips if you have a straight figure. Bandage style and bodycon
dresses have designs to flatter your body and put your curves in all the right
places. So, buy smart and don’t be scared of being a bit daring with your

The right belts

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that the
tighter they tie their belt, the better their waist will look. Sadly, that’s
not true. An extra tight belt doesn’t suck in your waist, but rather move
things around, giving you unflattering bumps and bulges in places where they
shouldn’t be. Instead, the trick is to get the right type of belt and pair it
with the right outfits. If you already have the curves and want to show them
off, a simple leather mid-width belt around your waist will draw all eyes to
your inward curves. If you want to cinch in your waist, a well-fitting
elasticated waist belt with some front detail will pull your waist in without
squeezing the life out of it. If you’re on the slimmer and want to create some
curves, pair a wide belt with a skater skirt. Wearing a fuller skirt with a
fitted waist adds to your hips while making sure your tiny waist is being
showed off. Don’t settle for less when it comes to belts and you’ll find that
the right kind of belt can become your favourite accessory.

The right shoes

Shoes really do make an outfit and the right kind of shoes
can do wonders for your curves. Black tights with a pair of black heels can
make your legs look longer and leaner. If you have shorter legs, rather than
adding to the heel, avoid shoes with ankle straps that break up the length of
your legs. Instead, a pair of classic stiletto pumps or peeptoes can make them
look longer and make your ankles look slimmer. If you want to fill our your
legs and give them a bit of curve, a pair of full length boots, knee high or
even thigh high, are particularly flattering, especially over a pair of black

The right underwear

You would be surprised to know how underwear can affect your
body shape. If you’re wearing an ill-fitting bra you are doing your body a
disservice. The right size and style of bra can change your posture, prevent
facial wrinkles, slim and shape your upper body and generally make daily life a
lot more comfortable. If you haven’t been professionally fitted for a bra in
the last year then do so ASAP. You should be getting measured regularly, as
your bra size can change quite quickly. Learning how to put on a bra properly
is also important, so talk to a professional to find the right bras to flatter
your shape and learn how to make the most of them.
