Infrared Sauna for Weight Loss

An easy way to think of infrared sauna is that it has several health benefits  of natural sunlight while having no dangerous effects of the solar radiation. Using infrared sauna is widely known as an excellent way to detoxify your body, release the pain, lose weight, increase human hormone growth and increase neurogenesis in the brain. However, this article is going to focus on the aspect of how infrared sauna can work to lose your weight, and what makes this method of losing weight is different and can be even more beneficial than others.
What is infrared sauna?

An infrared sauna utilizes the infrared heaters to emit the infrared light and the radiant heat, which will be absorbed by the skin. Infrared means below red, along with the ultraviolet – above-violet are part of the sun’s invisible spectrum. Even though they are visible to our eyes, they have different effects on our body. While ultraviolet light can cause many major illnesses including impairment of skin, eye, and the overall immune system, Infrared light has been proven to carry many
health benefits as it is on the opposite end of the light spectrum.
In the 1980s, NASA affirmed the wonderful effect of using far infrared heat in maintaining the fitness and cardiovascular condition for astronauts during their long space ships. In hospitals, infrared heaters are used to keep premature babies warm in incubators. Also, beauty specialists incorporate infrared sauna sessions on the daily basis to assist the patients in eliminating the gel-like lumps of fat and the debris and water stuck in pockets beneath the skin surface. Its feature of losing weight has been considerably and widely recognized, as it is a proven-to-work and environmentally friendly method.

How does it work?

The infrared rays can deeply penetrate into your skin and then dissolve the harmful substances in your body. In other words, it vitalizes your cells and metabolism. It has a deep heating effect that forces your body to begin sweating. And as the sweat glands occur mostly everywhere on your skin, the infrared rays thus contribute to the elimination of toxins all over your body.

How can it help you to lose weight?
When the infrared waves encounter the water molecules, which comprise approx.. 70% of our body, these molecules will vibrate. The vibration thus diminishes the ion bonds and eventually breaks the water molecules down. The encapsulated gasses and other toxic materials are eventually released, which leads to the effect of losing weight. However, the best part is that not only your weight but also the toxin levels are going to be lowered.
The far infrared heaters or the high-quality infrared saunas have the wavelength of between 8 and 14 microns. This range is especially beneficial tour body. The wavelengths can penetrate even more deeply into the skin, which enables your body to sweat even harder from deep inside. Also, this range of wavelengths can naturally emit the harmful substances inside the body. It explains why using infrared saunas will help you to lose weight without compromising your energy. Instead, after an infrared sauna session, you are likely to feel even more energetically rejuvenated.

Tips for using infrared sauna

•    The most recommend temperature range is 100-125F for modern saunas and 180-220F for traditional saunas.
•    If you are using a traditional sauna, you are advised to warm it up at least 30 minutes before use
•    Using a modern sauna is more recommended because it is proven to be more economically effective and time-saving than a traditional one
•    You should take a shower both before and after using a sauna. This habit results in faster and heavier sweat.
•    For beginners, you should start at 10-15 minutes for a sauna session. It protects you from extreme dehydration. As you get used to the saunas, you can increase the length of the session up to 30 minutes.
Infrared saunas are proven to not only reduce your weight but also boost your physical condition at the same time. In fact, it is one of the healthiest ways to lose weight. Remember to wear as little clothing as possible while taking a sauna for the optimum effect of sweating. Hope you enjoy your sauna sessions.
