Bread Machine Pizza Crust

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2-1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. active dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. cornmeal

Place all ingredients in bread pan in order directed by bread machine instruction manual. Program dough cycle setting; press start. Remove dough when cycle ends; let rest 5 minutes.

Roll out dough to 14" circle. You may have to let the dough rest for a few minutes and roll again until it doesn't spring back to a smaller size. Place in greased 14" pizza pan. Cover crust and let rise 20 minutes until puffy. Use your fingers to dimple the dough. Prebake the crust at 450 degrees for 6-8 minutes until light brown. Then top as desired and bake at 400 degrees for 15-25 minutes until toppings are heated and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Vegan Tomato and Basil Pizza Recipe

A vegetarian and vegan pizza recipe using fresh tomato and basil as well as plenty of cholesterol-free vegan cheese. This pizza recipe actually calls for rice-based non-dairy cheese, so it's a great recipe to try if you need a dairy-free and soy-free vegan pizza recipe.

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 large tomato, sliced thin
  • 5 fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 3/4 cup vegan pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp vegan rice parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups vegan rice mozzarella flavored cheese

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

Brush pizza crust with olive oil. Spread minced garlic over crust. Top crust with pizza sauce.

Spread 1/2 of the rice Mozzarella flavored shreds over the sauce, sprinkle with oregano, then top with thinly sliced tomatoes.

Spread remaining shreds over entire pizza, sprinkle with vegan rice Parmesan cheese and top with torn basil leaves.

Place in oven 10 - 12 minutes or until the vegan rice cheese is melted.
